Nili Nathan For BH City Council

Meet The Candidate

I am a sabra, born in Ramat Gan, Israel of parents who were true pioneers. Over thirty years ago my parents moved our family to Beverly Hills. I am as proud now as I was then to call Beverly Hills my home.

With over 25 years of business experience, including  an extensive professional finance background, I pledge to use my knowledge, leadership skills and integrity to work hard on your behalf and ensure that our city services and funds are protected during these challenging times. As a member of our community, I share your concerns regarding the direction and future of our city. I am the only candidate with a child currently enrolled in our public schools; I have an added stake in ensuring that we have a safe, liveable community. I invite you to contact me thru our website or at directly at 310-246-1672.

February 24th: A message to you from Nili

“When you go into the voting booth on March 3rd, remember, there is one issue on the table and that is our local economy.”

Last year, from the very beginning of my campaign, I said that
the economic downturn will trickle down to the local level. Unfortunately that has proven to be true.

We are now getting the figures in from businesses in Beverly Hills and forecasts from City Hall. Retail and business sales are down. We are reaching a financial crossover; that is, city expenditures are projected to exceed revenue later this year. I want to assure the residents and the community that, with over 25 years of business experience and finance skills (JPMorgan Chase),  I will immediately take action to balance our city budget. Working with our new City Council, I will lead the effort to find and eliminate the hidden and inconsequential expenses so that we can protect the services our community wants and needs. In addition, with my plan to retain existing businesses and using innovative approaches to attract stellar new businesses to our city, I will create new streams of revenue for our city that do not involve increasing taxes.

I respectfully ask for 1 of your 3 votes on Tuesday, March 3.

Thank you,

Nili Nathan
